Vallandry is not only a great place to stay during the winter; it also has a lot to offer during the summer. Most of the time there is warm weather during the day, while it cools down at night. It is a great place to find your peace, but with all the activities and sports you can perform in the mountains it can also be active.

Vallandry is located right at the border of the National Park Vanoise, the oldest national park in France. Here you can enjoy all the beautiful things that the mountains have to offer, great views, beautiful mountain springs or maybe you can catch a glimpse of an eagle or a capricorn.

In and around the chalet there are great peaceful places, but you can also get active by trying all the sports this location has to offer, like hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, horseback riding, swimming, golfing rafting and playing tennis.

There are lots of fun villages and cities that you can visit in the area. Bourg-St-Maurice, Aime, Albertville, Tignes met the big reservoir Lac du Chevril and Beaufort, where the famous cheese was originated, are definitely worth a visit.

If you would like to travel a bit further you can visit Chambery with a beautiful old town centre, or you can go to Annecy with the great lake and the beautiful town centre of the old city.

Also, through Col de Petit St. Bernard you can reach Italy, where you can visit Aosta.

In the village there is a goat farm, Bergerie de Rey, which you can visit, or you can go to the lead and silver mines in Pont Baudin, Palais de la Mine.
